The project aimed to strengthen civil society’s ability to detect and prevent forced child labor and other labor violations in Nepal’s brick, embroidered (zari), and carpet weaving industries in the collaboration with World Education Nepal. SAN served as a technical partner in improving capacity to generate evidence at the local level through research knowledge, and information was used for policy advocacy. 15 NGOs from Bagmati, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces working on 45 Municipalities worked with their networks of smaller Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to conduct Community Based Action Research, Case Study Research, Developed Policy Briefs and shared among the Federal, Provincial and Local Government in Nepal.
