The project is a 9 month project implemented by Food and Organization of United Nations and Swatantrata Abhiyan Nepal. The focus of the project is drafting strategic action plans on eradication of child labor in agriculture, operationalizing the National Alliance 8.7 secretariat by strengthening collaborative efforts among various stakeholders to eradicate child labour, including its prevalence in the agricultural sector, and building capacity of agriculture stakeholders at national, provincial, and local level to implement the National Master Plan on the Elimination of Child Labour. The project will work closely with relevant stakeholders through existing Alliance 8.7 Nepal secretariat and other relevant federal and provincial ministries, selected municipalities, and IIN agencies (ILO and UNICEF) through an Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) headed by MoLESS.
