Swatantrata Abhiyan Nepal worked with International Labour Organization (ILO) Nepal on The Asia Regional Child Labour Programme (The ARC Project) to Support MoLESS for smooth implementation of the NMP-II on Child Labour and Operationalization of Alliance generously supported by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office the UK Government. It’s targeted beneficiaries are the Child Labour and the families with high vulnerability to exploitation particularly in the worst form of child labour; and government institutions (Federal, Provincial and Local Level) as well as other key stakeholders advocating for child rights/protection.
The objective of the project was Review and formulation of appropriate policies/laws, devising mechanisms and targeted interventions on preventing and reducing child labour; Strengthen the Alliance 8.7 Secretariat as a Pathfinder Country on Child Labour elimination and leading Alliance 8.7 activities and mobilize civil society for continuous and constructive advocacy on child rights with government at local, province and federal level.
